Lawn Fawn - Mermaid for You | Pretty Pink Posh - Stitched Film Strip

Hello Friends,

Today I'm here to share a beautiful card that actually is related to my childhood.. Well as a child I was a cartoon lover (as a matter of fact I still am).. And when I saw this stamp set from Lawn Fawn - Mermaid for You, I had to have it for creating what I loved...

Originally I wanted to create a shaker card from this stamp set. But then, I also wanted to create something different as I saw a lot of shaker card made out of same set..

Then while going through my treasure (stamp n dies collection:P) I saw this die set from PPP which I haven't used yet and immediately the idea came to me.

So here is what I did of my idea...

The video tutorial here focuses on how to create the amazing background here with just Distress inks.. Also how to copic color that red head of mermaid and last the rocks with that green touch,,,

Hope you enjoyed the video.. Thank You for visiting.. See you next time..

Watercolor Friendship Blooms - Kuretake Gansai Tambi Color Set

Hello Friends,

Slowly I'm getting back to my normal days.. My Mojo is coming back to me and I really want to create cards with all the new products lying on my craft table... I ordered a lot of supplies while I was travelling (took advantage of sale on Simon Says Stamp site :P), but didn't feel like creating anything until today after returning..

Well today I thought of watercoloring with my favorite watercolor set - The Kuretake Gansai Tambi 36 Color set (hear me pronounce it in the video, hahahahaha, I sound really funny)...

I took this lovely Friendship Blooms Stamp Set from Simon Says Stamps for watercoloring and a really really awesome sentiment set called Inside and Out Saying from Simon Says Stamps for the Sentiment on my card.. Trust me this sentiment set is just amazing and a must have stamp set.. I'm in love with this stamp set and I cannot recommend it enough..

So here is my card for you guys -

A little closer view...

I just loved the outcome of this card, hope you guys do too..

First DT post for Through The Purple Haze Blog

Helllooooo Friends,

I'm enjoying my holidays back at home.. For guys who does not follow me on facebook, I took 1 month off, to travel to India, to friends and family.. Well, I'm coming back soon and will get back to crafting in no time..

But today I have something really exciting to share with you guys..
Ohhh Yes, as the post suggests I have been chosen as a new Design Team member at Through The Purple Haze Challenges.. Wow, I feel good after sharing this with you guys. I have been holding this news for almost a month, waiting for their Challenge to go live,,, Phew, that was a tough job.. lol...!!

So without taking much of your time, I wanna share the details of the Challenge and then my sweet sweet sweet card..
In this Current Challenge of ours - 101 Anything Goes we have a sponsor - Morgan's Artworld

They have a very beautiful collection of digis (digital stamps).. Check their shop, blog and facebook page for the wonderful collection..

Now for my card, I used one of their Images named Fae 9
I will be honest, I enjoyed every bit of it, while working with this image.. I haven't used digis before in my card and it was kind of tough to figure out what size of the image I needed for my card.. But once I figured it out, it was am-maaz-zingggg..  Ohh, I loved coloring those small flowers and intricate designs..
Now I think I'm in love with digis and will try to use them more often on my cards because of their flexibility to resize and what not..(have to explore more)

Also I wanna apologize for not having a video for this card, as on the time I created this card, I was little busy packing up for my trip and I could not film the whole video properly and redoing the video was not an option for me.. But I sure will make a video in future on how to use digis in different ways after I explore more about them..

So here is my beautiful card,, hold your breath guys..

Isn't it amazing.. ? Oh you can take a breath nowww.. Lol..!!

To color the image here I used copic marker (my fav) in shades of pink, purple, green and flesh tones.. And I have this sentiment I used - "The butterfly counts not months but Moments and has enough time - by Rabindranath Tagore" from one of the Just Rite stamps from my stash, which matched perfectly with my image..

Here is another view of the card -

And a close up -

So tell me what do you think of this card and the image.??
I hope you guys liked it...
Leave me loads of love here and also on TTPH Blog.. Will be waiting guys..

Happy Crafting...!!
Neha...
