Day 6 - Valentine's Card Series 2016 - You Turn Me on - Lawn Fawn

Hello Friends,

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you.. Hope you guys enjoyed the day with your loved ones.. Well you guys would be thinking, how did I get time to make a video today, Did I spent my time alone or what??
Well no, I wasn't alone. I was with my Loving Husband whole day, today (as its a sunday)
But I also love making cards and I thought I should spent sometime with my lovely craft supplies too. So here is my card for today - A quick card but very cute...

I loved how this card turned out.. Specially the yellow color looks amazing.. And the light bulb with all those glitters looks gorgeous.. You will be able to see the glitter in the picture below. Well could not take more bright pics. as it was all snowy and dull day here in Saint Louis.
Still managed to get some.. :p

I also love that glass look on the bulb, that's because of glossy accents.. Glossy accents really can add some 3D look to the images..

So without much ado here is the video for this lovely card..
Or to watch on YouTube Click HERE

This was the card for today.

Day 5 - Valentine's Card Series 2016 - Faber Castle Glitter Gel

Hello Friends,
Today I have a very fun yummy looking card with all glittery background.. These cards really look tempting so proceed with caution... hahahaha...

Who knew One simple product can create such wonders..??
Well yes, some simple backgrounds can turn into beautiful, yummy, glittery background in minutes just by use of this Faber Castle Glitter Gel. I first saw this gel used by Vicky Papaioannou in her art journals and I fell in love with it. Its a textured gel, with glass beads in it. It dries opaque and gives fun translucent effect with glitter and lights reflecting.

So without much ado, here are the cards.. I started with the rainbow background, but then craeted an extra blue-grey background as i just loved how it all turned out.

Some close ups here for you to see the glitter n shine in the background.

These really looks yummy, isn't it?
I just fell in love with this.. I'm sure you guys will too.. These looks more beautiful in person..

Day 4 - Valentine's Card Series 2016 - February Card Kit From SSS | 2 diff. tenchniques for Ombre effect Background | 2 diff. Cards, Same Background

Hello Friends,

As the  title suggests, today I've created 2 different cards with same background. I created an ombre effect for my backgrounds. In the video today I'm showing 2 different techniques to create the ombre effect on the background - with ombre Ink Pad from Hero Arts and 3 different ink pads from SimonSaysStamp.
Both the background looked very similar, so I used different techniques to assemble both the cards.

For my first card I use a die - inlaying technique. I used "I love You" die from Simon says Stamp here. Here I used fun foam on my die cuts to have a raised look on the die cuts. You will see on my video, how to inlay the die cuts.

For my second card, I heat embossed the sentiment on a black card stock and also used silver glitter card stock on the side of my card, to add an extra oomph to the card..

A side by side comparison of the cards.. Bothe the backgrounds look completely same but still both the cards are completely different.
