Now lets take a look at my project.. As said the theme of the hop is 'Spring', so I have created a spring scene, where two friends are lying in a garden, looking around the beautiful sky full of butterflies and just enjoying the weather.

I can't get enough of this card. I'm in so much love that I can't resist looking at it. I had a blast creating it. I had a little girl in mind while creating this. I thought I would gift her this card for her birthday, but now I'm not sure if I can part from this beauty.

Now let's take a look inside..

Yes it has a beautiful interactive element inside made using the pop-up butterfly die from lawn fawn.
I also wanted the inside to look colorful so added lots of small stamped butterfly images inside and stamped happy birthday all over as if the butterflies are shouting  "Happy Birthday"  "Happy Birthday" and that just makes me smile.

Now take a look at few close ups..

Super Heroes in Scrubs | My Favorite Things | Part 1 of Cards for Health Care Heroes

Hello everyone

I hope you are all safe and staying home. My today's post is all about people around us who are helping us get through this tough time, risking their own life to save ours.
They are really The HERO IN SCRUBS.
And there are lot of stamping companies who are sharing free digital images, MFT did too. And if you missed the digital images you can always get the stamp sets. I had these stamps with me and that's why didn't download the digital versions.

The idea in my head with this card was that Rainbows = Health Care Heroes.
On a cloudy, rainy day we look for rainbows as a sign of hope, something that's brings joy to us. Our Health Care workers are the same.

And here is how I incorporated the design that was in my head. I also wanted to try slim line card, its so popular nowadays and also I wanted to so all that one design can be put together on both A2 size notecards and Slim Line cards.

I stamped the images on Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock as I wanted to color the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. This cardstock and markers are match made in heaven. Yeah heaven - some crafty heaven, I would say. They work beautifully together and you must not think of  any other cardstock when using these pens.
In the video I have shared coloring one of the nurse's image and I just used the pens today instead of using water brush to blend the colors. Both ways are just right, it's what you prefer.

The color combinations that I used for the green scrub nurse are as follows -
Face - Flesh Color, Oatmeal, Beige and Blush
Hair - Oatmeal, Ochre, Dark Oatmeal and Dark Brown
Scrubs - Mid Green and Olive Green
Shoe - Light Grey and Grey

How to Stretch Your Stamp Set | Simon Says Stamp | My Favorite Things

Hello everyone,

How are you all? I hope you are all in good health and spirits, staying home and staying safe.
I'm back to my crafting world, I wasn't completely off creating but at least was not making cards and wasn't really active on social medias.
I got pregnant in Nov., 2018 and things changed for me. I was hard to do things and since then life has never been same. Today I have a 9 month old baby girl and its been all wonderful. Giving birth to a human, taking care of someone more than myself, feeding her, cleaning her, understanding her babbles, being super happy about her reaching each milestones and watching her grow.
And since its Mother's Day tomorrow, I thought its a perfect day for me to start uploading videos on Youtube. So here it is a Mother's Day card for this lovely occasion dedicated to all mothers out there..

For this card I used a floral stamp set from Simon Says Stamp called Bouquet of Thanks. It has a beautiful bouquet of flowers and buds that I stamped twice and colored using my color pencils. I didn't share the coloring video but focused more on the assembly of the card.

The purpose of stamping the image twice and coloring was to create a little more of cluster then what the stamp has to offer hence using it a little different than what its intended to be used.
When you add such simple alterations to the stamp images, you make different cards and are stretching your supplies.

To add interest to the background I used a background die from My Favorite things and tucked my stamped and colored images with the background die using liquid glue and foam tape. I stamped the sentiment "Happy Mother's Day" from a different stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.
And the added this panel to a side folding A2 card base made using SSS Fog Gray cardstock.
To finish up I added some gold hearts and moonshine sequins to the card and finally added some shine to all the flowers using Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust Pen.

Hope you enjoyed the video and will give this a try. Thank you. Stay home, Stay safe.
