How to Stretch Your Stamp Set | Simon Says Stamp | My Favorite Things

Hello everyone,

How are you all? I hope you are all in good health and spirits, staying home and staying safe.
I'm back to my crafting world, I wasn't completely off creating but at least was not making cards and wasn't really active on social medias.
I got pregnant in Nov., 2018 and things changed for me. I was hard to do things and since then life has never been same. Today I have a 9 month old baby girl and its been all wonderful. Giving birth to a human, taking care of someone more than myself, feeding her, cleaning her, understanding her babbles, being super happy about her reaching each milestones and watching her grow.
And since its Mother's Day tomorrow, I thought its a perfect day for me to start uploading videos on Youtube. So here it is a Mother's Day card for this lovely occasion dedicated to all mothers out there..

For this card I used a floral stamp set from Simon Says Stamp called Bouquet of Thanks. It has a beautiful bouquet of flowers and buds that I stamped twice and colored using my color pencils. I didn't share the coloring video but focused more on the assembly of the card.

The purpose of stamping the image twice and coloring was to create a little more of cluster then what the stamp has to offer hence using it a little different than what its intended to be used.
When you add such simple alterations to the stamp images, you make different cards and are stretching your supplies.

To add interest to the background I used a background die from My Favorite things and tucked my stamped and colored images with the background die using liquid glue and foam tape. I stamped the sentiment "Happy Mother's Day" from a different stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.
And the added this panel to a side folding A2 card base made using SSS Fog Gray cardstock.
To finish up I added some gold hearts and moonshine sequins to the card and finally added some shine to all the flowers using Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust Pen.

Hope you enjoyed the video and will give this a try. Thank you. Stay home, Stay safe.
